All applications should be made by completing the standard TMTTC Application Form. Selection of new trainees are based upon a standard criteria and individual assessment through an Open Interview.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

1. Malaysian citizen
2. Aged 16 years old and above
3. Able to read and write in Bahasa Melayu and English
4. Physically fit
5. Have the interest and aptitude to work in the wood-based industry
6. Minimum requirement for Operasi Pembuatan Perabot/Pengukiran Kayu Asas/Ketukangan Kayu & Tanggam Course:
          i.  Completed Form 3, or
          ii. 1 year experience in related field
   
7. Minimum requirement for Grading Courses:
          i.  Completed Form 5, or
          ii. 1 year experience in related field
